Why do wrinkles collect around my mouth?
Wrinkles occur when the skin loses fat and soft tissue, causing the skin to lose its firm, supple appearance. The skin also becomes more fragile overall as we age, contributing to wrinkles. This process occurs naturally with age, but individual factors can influence the time frame and effects of aging. For example, sun exposure, genetics, and smoking history can affect how these fine lines form. Wrinkles tend to be most prominent in thin skin, which is why they often appear around the mouth, including sometimes on the lips themselves.
What treatments are there for fine lines around the mouth?
