Get to know Dr. Smith
Dr. Smith has been practicing dermatology and dermatologic surgery in the Northern Virginia area for the past 21 years. He is a graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and completed his dermatology residency at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, in 1972.
From 1972 to 1995, Dr. Smith spent the majority of his career practicing dermatology at Army hospitals in Germany, New Jersey, Colorado, Maryland, and Virginia as Chief of Dermatology Service and Deputy Commander for Clinical Services.
Dr. Smith is certified by the American Board of Dermatology. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a member of the Association of Military Dermatologists and the Washington, D.C. Dermatological Society. In addition, Dr. Smith has had publications in the Archives of Dermatology as well as Pediatric Dermatology.
